This contemporary rendering of the famous Laocoon from the Vatican epitomises Zachary Eastwood Bloom’s current work and his interest in the intersection between the historical and the contemporary the tradition and the cutting edge digital.

Of the Assimilation Zachary Eastwood Bloom said: “

The original sculpture, The Laocoon and his Sons, is one of my favourite sculptures and it resonates with me because I have two sons. So I have empathy with it as a father. The title is a reference to death and the state or condition of being assimilated, or of being absorbed into something.
“
