This fabulous work by Dorothy Cross was first commissioned for an exhibition at Pangolin London in 2008 which invited fifty contemporary British artists to cast a small sculpture in sterling silver. For many it was the first time the artists had cast a sculpture in a precious metal and the variety of works was extraordinary. Appropriately the finish on the delicate detail of Cross's Finger Crab is achieved by boiling the silver.
