These beautiful ink and watercolour drawings relate to an exciting installation piece 'Masquerade' installed at St Albans Museum and Art Gallery in 2018. 'Masquerade' is a site specific piece consisting of over two hundred painstakingly hand-made balls of raw black wire with delicate sewn coverings of red silk velvet which organically and slightly disturbingly flow out of a chimney breast. At once sensually tactile but dangerous MacMurray's work often uses her material to be at odds with the initial visual response.
