"All of the materials came from the side of the road—the lapwing was roadkill, the rock and the copper wire had been discarded nearby. I simply preserved the lapwing as I usually do and carved a space for it after splitting the rock, which is a kind of dunite, a very ancient rock, 2.2 billion years old." - Steve Dilworth
