In Quille's series 'Undercurrents' she explores materiality and chaos, made from discarded steel shards arranged into geometric patterns based on Sierpinski carpets and Julia sets - mathematical formulas of symmetry and chaos. These ‘mandalas’ symbolise balance and the tension between chaos and order, with each shard carrying the imprint of a unique moment in time. The piece captures the intersection of human-made and natural forces, giving meaning to overlooked materials.

Quille’s practice blurs the lines between art and science, with collaborations involving institutions like the Natural History Museum, CERN, and Cranfield University. Focused on the Anthropocene, her work examines humanity’s complex relationship with the environment and the ways in which patterns of thought shape our collective future.
